Jillian Morrison is the Principal Solicitor of Mahony Family Lawyers. Jillian is available to assist our clients with all of their legal needs.

Prior to commencing work in private practice, Jillian was an Associate to a Judge of the Federal Circuit Court of Australia. As a result of her experience at the Court she has an intricate knowledge of the Court and its processes. She is able to apply this knowledge to the benefit of our clients in moving their matter appropriately through the Court system.

Jillian appears regularly in the Federal Circuit Court and Family Court of Australia. She has represented our clients as an advocate in a range of matters involving both property and parenting disputes. Jillian is an experienced litigator who is recognised for her skill by both her colleagues and Judicial Officers.

Jillian is also experienced in assisting our clients through mediation processes. She has a high success rate at achieving negotiated outcomes and is able to finalise many matters without the need for Court intervention.

Jillian prides herself on providing clients with a practical understanding of how the law relates to their individual circumstances and guiding them to a solution. She is regarded by her colleagues as a problem-solver and looks forward to assisting her clients to reach the next chapter in their life as smoothly as possible. Our clients report that Jillian is an efficient and pragmatic lawyer who is able to support them through what is a difficult period of their lives. Jillian is a member of the Legal Aid New South Wales Panel of Family Lawyers and Panel of Domestic Violence Lawyers. She also provides outreach legal clinics across Sydney to family support services and family violence services as part of our Community Outreach Program.

Jillian is also able to assist our clients with their Estate Planning needs. She works closely with our professional partners to assist their clients in preparation of their Estate Planning documents, whether they be simple or complex.

Jillian holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Social Science. Jillian is a member of the Law Society of New South Wales, Greater West Family Law Practitioners Association and Parramatta & District Regional Law Society. Jillian is admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia.
